Oktoberfest - the biggest festivities in the world. Oktoberfest attracts each year some 6 million visitors arriving in Munich from all parts of Bavaria and Germany as well as from other countries. Celebration is held in mid-September - early October, Teresa's in the meadow, in the heart of Munich, near the main railway station. Its duration averages 16 days. Celebration features a large number of beer tents and a variety of attractions. Oktoberfest is also known worldwide for its huge beer tents (or beer bars), each of which holds up to 10,000 people. All of them from year to year are managed by the same employers. Often a family tradition handed down from generation to generation.
The main drink of the holiday is a specially brewed beer oktoberfestovskoe, which can be purchased only at this time of year. It is aged longer than conventional light beer has a pronounced malt flavor.
